Animal Village

a Natural Paradise for our beloved animals

Nature is always abundant with all types of life forms. From plants to insects and also animals. So here in our animal village at the Alberta Botanic Garden, you'll get to enjoy companionship with these fluffy and non-fluffy creatures and learn how they live and thrive in their bio-diverse habitat.

Many of our animals are free to travel around our gardens. Giving them liberty and freedom to live their own lifestyles as they would naturally in nature. So be prepared to see gardens, Islands, and conservatories filled with a variety of different types of animals.

Birding

Birding, also known as birdwatching, is the hobby of observing and identifying birds in their natural environment. It can be a recreational activity or a form of citizen science.
Benefits like helping you notice other things, like sounds, small details, and the changing seasons
and recognize and appreciate the world around you as you emerge and practice birding and bird watching.
